No. CueSync triggers them. ProPresenter, EasyWorship, Proclaim, and MediaShout all speak OSC, so CueSync sends the slide-advance / blackout / clear commands from the same cue that dips house lights or recalls a GMA3 look. Your worship-lyric app stays exactly as it is — CueSync just stops making a volunteer chase three apps at once.
Which edition do we need — Theatre or Production?
It depends on whether you want the band-following automation. If you only need scripted cue playback, Theatre Edition works ($24/mo or $199/yr) — CueStack, Timeline, frame-accurate timecode, Run Mode, and Mission Control HUD. But AutoPilot — the engine that follows the worship band's energy live — is not in Theatre; for that you need Production Edition ($35/mo, $299/yr), which combines AutoPilot + CueStack and adds Coordination Bus + Predictive Preview (useful for multi-campus simulcasts where two operators run cues on the same shared network). Both editions include full venue profiles and every protocol integration.
We have a rotating volunteer tech team. Is this too complex for them?
The point of authoring once and running everywhere is exactly to lower the bar for Sunday morning. The Saturday rehearsal happens with the same tech director or paid staff who sets up the cue file; Sunday's volunteer runs Mission Control HUD and uses Run Mode to push GO. The pre-show review surfaces unfinished cues before the doors open, not during the offering.
