All editions include every integration and 2 device activations — a primary and a backup, with one driving live output at a time.
Upgrading Your Plan
- Go to account dashboard → Billing tab.
- Under Billing Management, click Change Edition.
- Select the higher edition.
- Confirm the prorated charge for the remainder of your billing cycle.
Your licence key and device activations stay as they are, and CueSync picks the new edition up on its own: no restart and no re-activation. An upgrade applies straight away, even mid-show; a change that takes features away waits until the show you are running is over.
DJ and Theatre are siblings, not rungs of a ladder — each has things the other lacks — so DJ ↔ Theatre is a switch, not an upgrade. The Change Edition dialog lists what the other edition does not include and asks you to confirm before it goes ahead. Moving to Production is the true upgrade.
Lifetime licences work differently. A lifetime licence is a one-time purchase rather than a plan, so there is no billing cycle to prorate and no Change Edition button. Instead the Subscription card on your account dashboard offers Upgrade to Production, and Switch to Theatre from DJ, each priced as the difference between the two lifetime prices and applied to the licence key you already have — no second key, no re-activation, and you are never asked to buy the higher edition again from scratch. A move that takes something away (DJ → Theatre) shows what you would lose and asks you to confirm first, and it is one-way: a lifetime licence can't be moved back down from your account. Downgrading Your Plan
- Go to account dashboard → Billing tab.
- Under Billing Management, click Change Edition and select a lower edition.
- The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You retain your current edition until then.
Data Preservation
Downgrading does not delete your data. The cue stack is unlimited in every edition, so no cues are ever trimmed. Features your new edition doesn't include (for example the Show Editor timeline on DJ) become unavailable until you upgrade again. All venue profiles, outputs, and show files are stored locally on your Mac and are unaffected by plan changes.
