Choosing Your Live Console

CueSync gives you a dedicated live surface for each workflow. Reach for the one that matches how you run:

• Performance (Control group, F11) — the live DJ dashboard.
• Run Mode (Control group, 6) — the Theatre playback console, driven by timecode.
• Show Editor (Create group, 1) — where you build a Theatre cue sheet before the show.

Performance — the DJ Live Dashboard

Performance is designed to be read from across the booth. It switches modes automatically:

• Setup mode — shown when nothing is playing. Readiness cards (DJ Link status, cue stack, output health) let you confirm everything is green; click any card to jump to its configuration screen.
• Live mode — activates the moment a Pioneer player starts playing and your cue stack is non-empty. It shows the large BPM and beat-phase readout, the current and next cue, a scrolling waveform, a real-time phrase timeline, AutoPilot's fire-trace rationale, your CuePads, and an output-health row.

An override bar gives you instant manual control: skip a cue (Cmd+K), pause AutoPilot for a set number of phrases (Cmd+P), resume (Cmd+R), force-fire an upcoming moment (Cmd+F), and undo (Cmd+Z). Press Space or Enter to manually fire the next cue.

The screen flips to live layout on its own — playing a track with cues in the stack is all it takes. Beat-rate panels redraw independently, so the dashboard stays smooth even under heavy beat traffic.

Run Mode — the Theatre Playback Console

Run Mode is the focus-mode console for running a Theatre show. It surfaces exactly what an operator needs: the next cue (a large hero card with a countdown that turns urgent under five seconds), a call sheet of the last and next cue per track, an auto-scrolling mini timeline, and transport controls.

• Start the show — press P or click Play. If cues aren't marked Ready, a pre-show gate offers a readiness matrix or Start Anyway.
• Rehearsal mode — press R (only when stopped or paused) to cycle OFF → DRY → LIVE. OFF mutes output; DRY steps through cues without sending to hardware; LIVE fires for real.
• Activity log — every cue execution is recorded with status; filter by status or track and export to CSV for a post-show record.

Transport locks while playing to prevent accidents — stop the show before changing mode. A Freewheel badge means the incoming timecode was lost and the show is riding CueSync's internal clock; check your timecode source.

Show Editor — Building a Theatre Show

The Show Editor is where you assemble the cue sheet Run Mode will fire: a hierarchy browser for Acts and Scenes, an ordered cue list, a waveform timeline with ghost-cue suggestions, and a tabbed inspector for trigger, action, and cue details. Build in DRY and step through the whole show before switching any track to LIVE — you'll catch sequencing mistakes without touching the rig.
