Activating Your License Key

Finding Your License Key

Your license key is issued automatically when your subscription is active. Find it in two places:

1. Email — A license key email is sent to your registered address when your subscription starts. Subject: Your CueSync License Key.
2. Account Dashboard — Log in at cuesync.live/account/dashboard, scroll to the License card, and copy your key.

If you don't see a key in your dashboard, your subscription may still be processing. Wait a few minutes and refresh. If the issue persists, see License Activation Issues.

Activating in the Desktop App

1. Open CueSync on your Mac.
2. Click Activate License in the welcome screen, or go to CueSync → Preferences → License.
3. Paste your license key into the field.
4. Click Activate.
5. CueSync connects to the licensing server, validates your key, and unlocks your edition.

Activation requires an internet connection. After activation, CueSync can run offline for up to 7 days before re-validation is needed.

Device Limits

Each CueSync subscription allows 1 active device. If you activate on a new Mac, you must first deactivate the current device:

1. Open account dashboard → Devices card.
2. Click Deactivate next to the current device.
3. Activate on the new Mac.

Alternatively, deactivate directly from the old Mac via CueSync → Preferences → License → Deactivate.

After Activation

Once activated, CueSync displays your edition name (DJ, Theatre, or Ultimate) in the menu bar and removes all read-only restrictions. All 14 protocols are available immediately.
