Installing CueSync on macOS

System Requirements

Before installing, confirm your Mac meets the minimum requirements:

Note: CueSync is a native macOS application for Apple silicon. There is no Windows release yet.

Installation Steps

1. Go to the Download page and click Download for macOS.
2. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
3. Drag CueSync.app into your Applications folder.
4. Open CueSync from Applications or Spotlight.
5. On first launch, CueSync is signed and notarized by Apple. macOS may ask you to confirm opening an app downloaded from the internet; if it blocks the app, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

First Launch

When CueSync opens for the first time, it starts in read-only mode, where you can open the built-in demo show, press Space to step through its cues and watch each one fire on screen with nothing sent to real equipment, look through its Show Editor timeline and Run Mode, and tour the cue, pad, AutoPilot, device, network and Settings screens. Building and saving your own shows, and connecting real outputs, need a subscription.

To start sending live output, activate your license key.

Granting Permissions

CueSync requires the following macOS permissions:

• Local Network — to reach Pioneer decks over PRO DJ LINK, lighting consoles, and media servers
• Microphone — for audio inputs: CueSync decodes LTC timecode from an audio input and can measure room energy from the experimental Booth Input. macOS asks the first time you arm one of them, so grant it during prep rather than on show day

Grant these in System Settings → Privacy & Security if macOS does not prompt automatically.

Troubleshooting Installation

• "CueSync is damaged and can't be opened" — Run xattr -cr /Applications/CueSync.app in Terminal, then try again.
• App won't open after macOS update — Re-download the latest version from the Download page.
• App won't open on an Intel Mac — CueSync ships as a native Apple-silicon (arm64) build; Intel Macs are not currently supported.
