Installing CueSync on macOS
System requirements, installation steps, and first-launch checklist for CueSync on macOS.
System Requirements
Before installing, confirm your Mac meets the minimum requirements:

Note: CueSync is a native macOS application. Windows support is planned for a future release.
Installation Steps
- Go to the Download page and click Download for macOS.
- Open the downloaded
.dmgfile. - Drag CueSync.app into your Applications folder.
- Open CueSync from Applications or Spotlight.
- On first launch, macOS may show a security dialog: click Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
First Launch
When CueSync opens for the first time, it starts in read-only mode — you can explore the full interface, configure protocols, and map triggers without a subscription.
To start sending live output, activate your license key.
Granting Permissions
CueSync requires the following macOS permissions:
- Microphone — for real-time audio analysis (system audio via BlackHole or Loopback also works)
- Network — for Art-Net, sACN, OSC, and PRO DJ LINK output
- Accessibility (optional) — only required for keyboard shortcut capture in Mission Control
Grant these in System Settings → Privacy & Security if macOS does not prompt automatically.
Troubleshooting Installation
- "CueSync is damaged and can't be opened" — Run
xattr -cr /Applications/CueSync.appin Terminal, then try again. - App won't open after macOS update — Re-download the latest version from the Download page.
- M1/M2 performance issues — Ensure Rosetta is not active; CueSync ships as a Universal binary.
