Studio Storage and File Limits
1 min readCueSync Studio
Per-file and per-project storage ceilings, accepted formats, and what to do when a project fills up.
The limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Audio file | 250 MB each |
| Documents, specs, and images | 25 MB each |
| Total storage per project | 2 GB |
A file over its cap is rejected before the upload starts, so you find out immediately rather than at the end of a long transfer.
Accepted formats
- Audio — WAV, MP3, AAC, FLAC, OGG, M4A
- Attachments — PDF, Markdown, plain text, PNG, JPEG, WebP
Watching the ceiling
Each project's Settings page shows a storage meter reading the same committed total the upload gate enforces with, so the 2 GB ceiling is visible long before you reach it.
When a project fills up
Storage is counted per project, not per account — so:
- Delete tracks the show no longer uses. Their audio is reclaimed.
- Split a long programme into separate projects; each gets its own 2 GB.
- Reuse audio from your account library rather than re-uploading it. The library de-duplicates by content, so the same master used across five shows is stored once.
